Sadat and ten others were killed outright or suffered fatal wounds, including Major General Hassan Allam, general from the Omani delegation Khalfan Nasser Mohammed, Eng. Samir Helmy Ibrahim, Al Anba' Samuel, presidential photographer Mohammed Yousuf Rashwan, Saeed Abdel Raouf Bakr, Chinese engineer Zhang Baoyu, as well as the Cuban ambassador to Egypt and a Coptic Orthodox bishop. Twenty-eight were wounded, including Vice President Hosni Mubarak, Irish Defence Minister James Tully and four US military liaison officers.

Miniel's last meal request was for twenty beef tacos, twenty beef enchiladas, two double cheeseburgers, a pizza with jalapeños, fried chicken, spaghetti with salt, half of a chocolate cake, half of a vanilla cake, cookies and cream ice cream, caramel pecan fudge ice cream, a small fruit cake, two Coca-Colas, two Pepsi-Colas, two root beers and two orange juices. Miniel's last meal was one of the largest to be served on Death Row.

Mass murderer Panya Khamrab known for the Nong Bua Lamphu attack commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 34 in Uthai Sawan Nursery, Na Klang, Nong Bua Lamphu, Thailand.

During the day Khamrab stabbed and shot dead at least 24 children and 14 adults in three locations, including his wife and son. An additional 12 people were injured. Earlier on this day Khamrab attended a court session regarding drug offenses and was scheduled to appear for a court hearing on Friday 7 October 2022 in connection with his offenses.
