Double murderer Brad Keith Sigmon is executed by the firing squad at the age of 68 in Broad River Correctional Institution, Columbia, South Carolina, United States.

For his last meal, Sigmon requested fried chicken from Kentucky Fried Chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, biscuits, cheesecake and sweet tea. Sigmon originally asked for three buckets of the fried chicken and wanted to share them with the other inmates but his request was denied by the prison department. The firing squad fired at 6:05 pm, and Sigmon flexed his arms and heaved in the chair for a few seconds before he fell motionless, and he was pronounced dead at 6:08 pm.
