Critical evidence was a photograph of Davidson with 15-year-old Estelle Douglas taken on 28 March 1932. Davidson explained that the picture had been intended as a publicity shot to help the girl find work as an actress. He protested that he had been set up and did not know she was naked under her shawl.

The body of 60-year-old serial killer Myra Hindley aka The Moors Murderers (with Ian Brady) is cremated in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. Albinoni's Adagio was played during the service. Four months later Hindley's ashes were scattered by her former lover and Carmelite nun Patricia 'Pat' Cairns in Stalybridge Country Park.
