 Murderer Wilford Lee Berry aka The Volunteer is executed by lethal injection at the age of 37 in Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, Lucasville, Ohio, United States. Berry was the first convict to waive his right to appeal his death sentence after Ohio reinstated the death penalty. Berry became the first person to be executed in Ohio since 1963. |
