 Serial killer Myra Hindley aka The Moors Murderers (with Ian Brady) dies of bronchial pneumonia at the age of 60 in West Suffolk Hospital, Hardwick Lane, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Four months later Hindley's ashes were scattered by her former lover and Carmelite nun Patricia 'Pat' Cairns, a woman she had met in prison, in Stalybridge Country Park. Cairns stood trial at the Old Bailey in 1974 on a charge of conspiring to spring Hindley from Holloway Prison. |
