At Guillet's house a drivers license with the name of Henri Désiré Landru and a little black book with eleven names of disappeared women in it was found by arresting officers Jean Belin and Riboulet. In the bedroom Landru's mistress Fernande Segret fainted and was found stark naked on the floor.

Nazi architect Albert Berthold Konrad Hermann Speer dies of a stroke at the age of 76 in London, Greater London, United Kingdom. Speer was in London to participate in the BBC Newsnight programme.
