Seven pressure cooker bombs exploded at or in the near vicinity of the suburban railway stations of Matunga Road, Mahim Junction, Bandra, Khar Road, Jogeshwari, Bhayandar and Borivali. Approximately 714 people were injured. On 14 July terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Qahhar claimed responsibility for the bombings. (11 July 2006)
