Nordlund's plan was to rob and kill as many people as possible on the ship and steal the ship's register. To avoid early detection he also planned to torch the ship. This plan failed because scared passengers on the boat managed to attract the attention of the Köping ferry. (17 May 1900)

Wednesday 7th of April 1926 (x) — Leader of the Italian National Fascist Party Benito Mussolini is hit in the nose by a bullet fired byViolet Gibson in an attempt to kill him. Mussolini was wounded only slightly, dismissing his injury as "a mere trifle" and after his nose was bandaged he continued his parade on the Capitoline. It has been theorised that Gibson was insane at the time of the attack and the idea of assassinating Mussolini was hers and that she worked alone.
