Sunday 26th of May 1647 (-) — Alse Young is executed by hanging. Young was the first person in the records executed for witchcraft in the United States. Young was symbolically exonerated on 6 February 2017 by a Windsor Town Council resolution, along with Lydia Gilbert, the second Connecticut woman to be executed for witchcraft.
