Unterweger was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole for the murders of 9 prostitutes earlier that day.
Saturday 26th of February 2000 (-) — Xenophobic serial bomber Franz Fuchs commits suicide by hanging in his cell.
Fuchs was found hanged with the cable of his electric razor. How exactly a man without hands and under almost constant video surveillance could accomplish the manipulations required to convert an electric cable into a noose sufficiently robust for successful self-hanging was never properly explained.
