Thursday 13th of January 1944 (x) — Doctor and serial killer Marcel Petiot is released from prison by the French Gestapo. Petiot paid a bond of 100.000 Francs for his release.
Monday 15th of October 1945 (-) — French politician and collaborator Pierre Laval is executed by the firing squad. On the morning of his execution Laval attempted to cheat the firing squad by taking poison from a vial stitched inside the lining of his jacket. The poison was so old that it was ineffective and repeated stomach-pumpings revived Laval.
Sunday 16th of April 1989 (-) — Serial killer Thierry Paulin dies of AIDS. Paulin was hospitalized in a state of near-paralysis, suffering from both tuberculosis and meningitis.
