They killed 11 German SS officers, overpowered the camp guards and seized the armory. 158 escapees we killed by the guards or in the minefield surrounding the camp. A further 107 were killed either by the SS, Wehrmacht, or Orpo police units pursuing the escapees.

Wednesday 9th of September 1987 (-) — Businessman Gerrit Jan Heijn is kidnapped and shot dead by Ferdi Elsas aka .
Elsas kept a part of Heijn's finger and his glasses and demanded 7,7 million Gulden ransom. The money was delivered on 27 November. Elsas was arrested on 6 april 1988 because he kept spending marked banknotes in the same shops.
