All the patients, mostly depressed young women, were severely sedated and locked up behind barred windows. 30 patients were heavily burned. The fire started when a nurse, who also died in the disaster, helped escape a patient who set fire to solitary confinement room 22 and forgot to close the door.

Wednesday 6th of June 1990 (x) — Member of the Rote Armee Fraktion Susanne Albrecht is arrested.
Albrecht was found living as a housewife under the name Becker. Albrecht was sentenced to twelve years imprisonment by the upper state court in Stuttgart but she was paroled in 1996.
