Emms was the first victim of Erskine. She was in bed with the bedclothes pulled up to her chin. When the doctor first examined her he thought she had been dead for about three days and as he had no reason to suspect otherwise he was happy to sign the death certificate to say she had died of natural causes.

Sunday 6th of December 1964 (x) — Serial killer Edmund Kemper is committed to a maximum-security facility for the shooting of his grandparents on 27 August 1964.
Tests during Kemper's time at Atascadero revealed that he had an I.Q. of 136. Later during adulthood he tested at 145. Kemper was released from prison in 1969 after serving fewer than five years. At the time of his release he had grown to 2,06 m and weighed close to 130 kg.
Thursday 18th of December 1969 (x) — Serial killer Edmund Kemper is released on parole after killing his grandparents in August 1964.
