The boat was destroyed by the force of the blast and Mountbatten's legs were almost blown off. Mountbatten was pulled alive from the water by nearby fishermen but died from his injuries before being brought to shore. Also aboard the boat were his elder daughter Patricia aka Lady Brabourne, her husband John aka Lord Brabourne, their twin sons Nicholas and Timothy Knatchbull, John's mother Doreen aka Baroness Brabourne and crew member Paul Maxwell. 14-year-old Nicholas and 15-year-old Paul were killed by the blast and the others were seriously injured. 83-year-old Doreen died from her injuries the following day. Monday 15th of November 1971 (x) — Victim of Robert Hansen aka The Aviation Hunter Susie Heppeard is attacked by Robert Hansen aka The Aviation Hunter Heppeard screamed and a roommate called the police. Moments later the police arrived and they found Hansen wandering around the neighborhood a little over an hour later. Heppeard positively identified Hansen and then a grand jury charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.
