First Norman King of England William the Conqueror aka William the Bastard dies of peronitis at the age of 59 in Abbaye de la Trinité, Fécamp, Seine-Maritime, France. During the funeral at Abbaye-aux-Hommes in Caen the ulcer in William's intestines broke open and the outrageous stench drove away all the guests.
