 47 Die in British Midland Boeing 737-400 Flight 92 crash in East Midlands Airport, Kegworth, Leicestershire, United Kingdom. The plane crashed on to the embankment of the M1 motorway in an attempt to make an emergency landing. Of the 126 people aboard, 47 died and 74 sustained serious injuries.
