Marchwicki's trial received great interest; entrance to the room was only allowed by a special entrance ticket. On 28 July 1975 the Katowice Voivodship Court found Marchwicki guilty of the murder of fourteen women and attempted murder of another six, condemning him to death.

Errol Lindsey is drugged, strangled and dismembered by serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer aka The Milwaukee Cannibal at the age of 19 in Oxford Apartments #213, 924 25th North Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.

Lindsey was the first victim upon whom Dahmer practiced what he later described to investigators as his 'drilling technique', a procedure in which he drilled holes into the victim's skull through which he injected hydrochloric acid into the brain.
