Formula One racer Jim James Clark crashes his Lotus 48 into a tree in what was to be his last race before retiring on his sheep-farm at the age of 32 in Hockenheimring, Hockenheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Clark suffered a broken neck and skull fracture and died before reaching the hospital.
