Svetlana Korostik is beaten and stabbed to death by serial killer Andrei Chikatilo aka The Rostov Ripper at the age of 22 in Donleskhoz, Rostov Oblast, Russia.

Chikatilo removed the tip of Korostik's tongue and nipples and ate them at the scene before he covered her naked body with leaves. Korostik was Chikatilo's 53rd and last victim, he was arrested on 20 November 1990 because a policeman had noticed Chikatilo approach a well and wash his face after he left the scene of the murder.
