Inside patrolmen found two strangled women's bodies, three more skeletons beneath a mound of garbage on the floor, another tied up in the closet. In all seven bodies were recovered from the apartment. Graham turned himself in as a wanted fugitive on 17 August.

Revolutionary philosopher and psychiatrist Frantz Omar Fanon dies of leukemia at the age of 36 in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Fanon's body was moved to a martyrs' chouhada graveyard at Ain Kerma in eastern Algeria.
