Nazi leader and SS-Gruppenführer Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich dies due to injuries inflicted during an assault by the Czech resistance at the age of 38 in Na Bulovce Hospital, Budínova 67/2, Praha, Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. As a represaille for Heydrich's death the Nazis murdered all 173 men over 15 years of age of Lidice and destroyed the whole town.
