Mary Bell Vincent is raped and mutilated by presumed multiple murderer Lawrence Singleton at the age of 15 in Modesto, California, United States.

Singleton raped Vincent and then severed both her forearms with a hatchet and threw her off a 30-foot cliff, leaving her naked and near death. She managed to pull herself back up the cliff and alert a passerby who took her to a hospital.
