The California Board of Prison Terms denies parole to 70-year-old Manson Family member Leslie Van Houten aka Lulu in California Institution for Women, Chino, California, United States. In June 2019 Governor Gavin Newsom overruled the parole board's recommendation, claiming that Van Houten was still a "danger to society" and that she had "potential for future violence".
