Bell and her invalid 81-year-old sister Florence Lang were found by 78-year-old gardener Carlos Valenzuela on 1 June 1985. Bell died of massive body trauma on 15 July 1985. Lang survived but could no longer speak and was hospitalized indefinitely.

Pursley's last meal request was for a cheeseburger, four fried pork chops, french fries, two dinner rolls, a piece of cheesecake and iced tea with sugar. |
