Actress and fashion model Lana Jean Clarkson is shot dead by record producer and songwriter Phil Spector at the age of 41 in Pyrenees Castle, 1700 S Grandview Drive, Alhambra, California, United States.

Clarkson's body was found slumped in a chair with a single gunshot wound to her mouth with broken teeth scattered all over the carpet. Spector later told a magazine that Clarkson's death was an "accidental suicide" and that she "kissed the gun".
