Mary Carpenter dies of Spontaneous Human Combustion in The Broads, Norfolk, United Kingdom. Mrs Carpenter's ignition took place in full view of her husband and children. She was engulfed in in flames and reduced to a charred corpse in minutes. No one else was burned and the boat was undamaged.
