On 17 June 2004 Woods had surrendered to police inside a crack house when 24-year-old Kerry Spencer came downstairs and opened fire, killing three officers. Spencer and Woods were both charged with the murders despite Woods never firing a weapon. Spencer was also sentenced to death and remains on death row at Holman Correctional Facility awaiting execution.

Raphael’s ‘La Madonna di Foligno’ is attacked with a fire-bomb by 31-year-old art vandal Thomas Lange in Musei Vaticani, Rome, Lazio, Italy. Lange was a mentally disturbed wheelchair patient.
