Chikatilo removed the tip of Korostik's tongue and nipples and ate them at the scene before he covered her naked body with leaves. Korostik was Chikatilo's 53rd and last victim, he was arrested on 20 November 1990 because a policeman had noticed Chikatilo approach a well and wash his face after he left the scene of the murder.

A five kg pipe-bomb by 45-year-old xenophobic serial bomber Franz Fuchs is found near the Rennerschule and transported to the airport for closer examination in Flughafen Klagenfurt, Klagenfurt, Kärnten, Austria. Police officer Theo Kelz examined the package and it exploded, ripping off both Kelz' hands. Kelz had a transplant of two new hands six years later. |
