Within days a total of 3.300 animals, mostly poultry and rabbits, were found dead. 1.600 people of all ages had been examined and 447 were found to suffer from skin lesions or chloracne.

Double murderer Llewellyn Wilson Peare is executed by hanging at the age of 69 in Oregon State Penitentiary, Salem, Oregon, United States. Peare went on a moonshine spree and killed his wife and a neighbour. He became the oldest man ever executed in Oregon. |
