Marie Nitschke is sexually assaulted and strangled by serial killer and cannibal Karl Großmann aka Die Bestie vom Schlesischen Bahnhof at the age of 35 in Langen Straße 88/89, Berlin, Berlin, Germany.

Nitsche's cries alerted neighbours who called in the police. Upon his arrest by Oberwachtmeisters Richard Klähn and Ernst Engesser, Großmann was found naked and covered in Nitsche's blood, ready to drink a cup of cyanide laced coffee.
