Spencer killed 53-year-old principal Burton Wragg and 56-year-old custodian Mike Suchar and wounded 9 children. After firing thirty rounds of ammunition, Spencer barricaded herself inside her home for several hours before surrendering. During the siege she had a telephone conversation with a journalist who reported that she had said "I don't like Mondays".

KZ-Kommandant in Dachau Eduard Wilhelm Weiter commits suicide by a shot in the head at the age of 56 in Schloss Itter, Itter, Tirol, Austria. After drunkenly bragging about the recent executions he had ordered at Dachau, Weiter shot and killed himself.
