SS-Gruppenführer and leader of the Aktion T4 euthanasia program Karl Brandt is executed by hanging at the age of 44 in Kriegsverbrechergefängnis, Landsberg am Lech, Oberbayern, Germany. Along with Brandt, six other Nazi doctors were executed on this day.
