Start of the trial against 47-year-old serial killer Zdzisław Marchwicki aka The Zagłębie Vampire in Katowice, Województwo Katowice, Poland. Marchwicki's trial received great interest; entrance to the room was only allowed by a special entrance ticket. On 28 July 1975 the Katowice Voivodship Court found Marchwicki guilty of the murder of fourteen women and attempted murder of another six, condemning him to death. |
