Maigys went into the Hermitage and headed to the Rembrandt’s painting hall, where he asked the keeper which of Rembrandt’s paintings was considered the most valuable — she replied that it was Danae, which was not for sale at all. Then Maygis went to Danae, pulled out a knife and a can of sulfuric acid from his jacket and stabbed the picture several times with a knife, falling into the thigh and abdomen of Danae.

Sherry Morrow is abducted and shot dead by serial killer Robert Hansen aka The Aviation Hunter at the age of 23 in Anchorage, Alaska, United States.

Morrow's body was found by hunters on 12 September 1982 on the north shore of the Knik River.
