38 die in a a horse-drawn wagon bomb explosion in 23 Wall Street, New York City, New York, United States.

The horse-drawn wagon passed by lunchtime crowds on Wall Street and stopped across the street from the headquarters of the J.P. Morgan bank. Inside the wagon 45 ks) of dynamite with 230 kgs of heavy cast-iron sash weights exploded in a timer-set detonation sending the weights tearing through the air.
