They killed 11 German SS officers, overpowered the camp guards and seized the armory. 158 escapees we killed by the guards or in the minefield surrounding the camp. A further 107 were killed either by the SS, Wehrmacht, or Orpo police units pursuing the escapees.

Serial killer Abdallah al-Hubal is shot dead in a police shootout at the age of 43 in Bayt al-Faqih, Al Hudaydah, Yemen. al-Hubal engaged in a firefight with the police killing one policeman and injuring several others before being shot himself.
