Black meat thief Caesar Sheffield is taken from the jail at Lake Park and shot to death by unknown parties in Valdosta, Georgia, United States. Sheffield was arrested the day before, charged with stealing meat from the smoke-house of Elder A. B. Herring and put in jail to await trial.
