Månsdotter was the last woman to be executed in Sweden. Executioner Albert Gustaf Dahlman hit the block so that the lower jaw and a part of the tongue remained attached to the body while the upper part of Månsdotter's head rolled away.

Darlene Trippi is beaten to death by serial killer Arthur Shawcross aka The Genesee River Killer at the age of 32 in Salmon Creek, Rochester, New York, United States.

Trippi was found on 5 January 1990.
