 Writer, thief and political activist Jean Genet dies of throat cancer at the age of 76 in Jack's Hôtel Room #205, 19 Avenue Stéphen-Pichon, XIIIe, Paris, Île-de-France, France.  Genet is buried in the Spanish Cemetery in Larache, Morocco.
