King of Bavaria Otto Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig II aka Der Märchenkönig dies of drowning at the age of 41 in Starnberger See, Berg, Bayern, Germany. Ludwig II took a walk with Professor Bernhard von Gudden, several hours later their bodies were found floating dead in the lake.
