Davidson met Thom at a hospital where she counseled alcoholics once a week. A police report called the two quite close. A county probation officer said that just prior to her murder Davidson had tried to sever her sporadic sexual relationship with Thom. Thom pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and was given a sentence of 17 years to life.

Johanna Sosnowski is sexually assaulted and beaten to death by serial killer and cannibal Karl Großmann aka Die Bestie vom Schlesischen Bahnhof at the age of 24 in Langen Straße 88/89, Berlin, Berlin, Germany.

Sosnowski was cut to pieces and some of her meat was either eaten or sold by Großmann near Schlesischen Bahnhof.
