.jpg) Asymptomatic carrier of the pathogen associated with typhoid fever Mary Mallon aka Typhoid Mary dies of pneumonia at the age of 69 in Riverside Hospital, North Brother Island, New York, New York, United States. Mallon spent her life in quarantine at the Riverside Hospital since 27 March 1915. Six years before her death she was paralyzed by a stroke. An autopsy found evidence of live typhoid bacteria in her gallbladder. |
