Weaver escaped while under guard at Marianna Hospital in Florida and killed 3 people, including Deputy Sheriff Aaron Creel and Deputy Allen Fench on the way. His terrified 14-year-oid hostage Ricky Hale grabbed Weaver's pistol and shot him four more times as he slumped dying over the beginnings of a foxhole he was trying to dig.

Composer Rezső Seress born as Rudolf 'Rudi' Spitzer commits suicide by jumping from the window of his apartment at the age of 69 in Budapest, Közép-Magyarország, Hungary. Seress actually survived jumping out of his window, but later in the hospital choked himself to death with a wire. His song 'Szomorú Vasárnap (Gloomy Sunday)' sparked a worldwide wave of suicides in 1933.
