47-year-old Nazi leader and Stellvertreter des Führers Rudolf Hess flies to the United Kingdom in a Messerschmitt Bf 110, presumably with a peace-mission, but he crashes and parachuted out of the plane in Floors Farm, Eaglesham, Scotland, United Kingdom. Identifying himself as Hauptmann Alfred Horn, Hess said he had an important message for the Duke of Hamilton.
