42-year-old deer hunter Victor 'Bunk' Travis and his companion Ray Burgess are presumably shot dead by 46-year-old murderer and body snatcher Ed Gein aka America’s Most Bizarre Murderer in Plainfield, Wisconsin, United States. Travis and Burgess and their car were never to be seen again. A massive search was conducted but there was no trace of them. Travis' dead dog and pieces of clothing were eventually recovered but the hunters and their car had vanished from the area. |
