Child molester and serial killer Westley Allan Dodd aka The Vancouver Child Killer is executed by hanging at his own request at the age of 32 in Washington State Penitentiary, Walla Walla, Washington, United States. Dodd's execution was the first legal hanging in the United States since 1965. He also requested that his hanging be televised but that request was denied. Dodd's last meal request was for salmon and potatoes.
