 Multiple child murderer Robert Anthony Bob Buell is executed by lethal injection at the age of 62 in Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, Lucasville, Ohio, United States. Buell's final meal request was for a single black unpitted olive. Buell was paying homage to to Victor Feguer, the last prisoner executed by the federal government until Timothy McVeigh. Feguer was hanged in 1963. His last meal was an olive with the pit still in it. Feguer told prison officials that he hoped an olive tree would sprout from his body – a sign of peace. |
