Präsident der Treuhandanstalt Detlev Karsten Rohwedder is shot and killed through a window on the first floor of his house by the Rote Armee Fraktion Kommando Ulrich Wessel at the age of 59 in Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring 71, Niederkassel, Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. In 2001 a DNA analysis found that hair strands from the crime scene belonged to RAF member Wolfgang Grams.
